Clean up your act!

29 May

Have you ever tried hand crafted soap? It retains the natural glycerins that are a by-product of the chemical process. Commercial soap makers sell glycerin to cosmetics companies because of its moisturizing ability. It is hydroscopic, drawing moisture into your skin. Handcrafted soap feels so creamy on your skin.  Try our gentle Ginger Lime scent. Buy 3 bars,  get a FREE bar of goat milk soap.  So creamy my husband shaves with it.  He says it makes him better lookin’ everyday!  (of course, I won’t disagree with him)  🙂 You won’t be sorry and your skin will thank you. Visit our Artfire account to explore the different varieties available.  Let us know what you are looking for. http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/product_view/TheWillowCrossing/4653265/Handcrafted_soap/Bath_Beauty/Soaps/Other

Feathers Galore

27 May

School is out and summer will be here soon. It’s already getting warmer than we care for. Along with the heat comes the humidity. More humidity than a Texan thinks she should have to endure in Kansas. Anyway, outdoor summer shows are too hot for us to do, we we’ve started signing up for autumn shows and are trying to get products made up ahead of time so that we are not doing our usual last minute, stay up all night working scramble. Today I worked on feather hair clips. My bed is a mess and looks like I have decimated a Vegas showgirl’s costume. Puple, blue, black, white and peacock floating everywhere. I only got 3 clips done but I’ll do more later.

Yesterday, Sherry opened our Etsy store. So far we have one item active. http://www.etsy.com/listing/100660824/white-and-peacock-feather-hairclip?ref=ss_listing. We would appreciate if you would take a look and let us know what you think. We also have several items up for sale on Artfire: http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/studio/TheWillowCrossing.  We would love feedback from our friends.
